Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

TRANSFLEET claims that it is offering British operators the most comprehensive money-back guarantee scheme for commercial vehicle contract hire.

It has launched a four-part guarantee, covering breakdowns, vehicle replacement, drivers, and downtime, and claims this is a superior deal to the BRS Suretruck deal which guarantees a vehicle within four hours of the customer making a request (CM, March 28). Failure to meet this will result in the customer's money being refunded.

Transfleet says it will rectify a breakdown anywhere in the United Kingdom within four hours of being notified in normal business hours, or within six hours otherwise.

If the contract specifies that vehicle.s will be substituted, and it is not possible to repair the broken-down vehicle, then a replacement will be made available within three hours. A replacement vehicle will automatically be available dur ing planned servicing or essential repair work.

Where drivers are provided, Transfleet provides replacements when regulars are on holiday or undergoing training, and in the event of unforseen absence, a substitute driver will be provided within four hours.

The company says it will agree and guarantee the maximum acceptable downtime on customers' vehicles.
