Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

THE SPORTS MINISTER has disturbed Scottish hauliers by suggesting that the Armitage proposals call for larger lorries.

In response to lobbying from a Road Haulage Association member in Scotland, Sports Minister Hector Monro, who is Conservative MP for Dumfries, replied: "Naturally, the Armitage Report has given many people in my constituency food for thought, particularly relative to the construction of by-passes around our towns, before allowing for the additional hazards of even larger lorries."

Commenting on the fact that Armitage proposed heavier, and not larger lorries, RHA Scottish secretary Tom Brattin told CM: "If Ministers of the Crown can't get it right, we wonder how many other MPs are labouring under the same delusion."

Mr Brattin added that his members would be happy to demonstrate the true nature of the Armitage proposals to any interested MP.
