Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

NO SOONER has a new fuel consumption record around CM's Scottish route been set (MAN 16.240 road test page 41 this week) than it has already been broken.

The record-breaker this time was ERF's lightweight tractive unit fitted with Cummins latest 14-litre engine — the N1250 fully described in Engineering News (CM, June 20).

Not content with simply using less fuel to date than any other tractive unit to pull our van trailer, the ERF Lightweight also completed the 1,185km test route in record-breaking time.

It is a lightweight with a heavyweight punch, and a full test report on the 36 C2 will appear in CM, July 18.
