THE British Standards Institution has published BS 6107 Roller Bearings: Tolerances, Part 1 which is identical with the corresponding ISO 1132 produced by the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO).
Part 1 specifies the tolerances for boundary dimensions, running accuracy and internal clearance for rolling bearings.
It also deals with the general conditions under which these tolerances apply and provides symbols for a number of the concepts defined.
Further parts of BS 6107 will implement ISO 492 (rolling bearings — radial bearings — tolerances) and ISO 5753 (rolling bearings — radial internal clearance).

MEILLER of West Germany has produced a roll-off tipper dumper for combined service which can be used in summer and winter. The hydraulic system is designed to operate a roll-off tipper with its containers as well as street washing equipment, automatic gritters and snow ploughs.
