Ti'e Miller& Halifords.

We understand that Cannon and Gaze, Ltd., continues to secure increasing evidence of the utility of its motor fleet. its latest Hanford lorry recently delivered 90 tons of flour in 720 sacks, each containing 280 lb., in six days. The total mileage for this period was 400.

Bath Motor-mail Services.

We understand that. motor-mail vans will shortly run from Bath to Birmingham and from Birmingham to Bath. Only parcel mails will be carried. The outgoing mail will leave Bath at 10.40 p.m., and will reach Gloucester at 2.43 a.m. The vehicle will arrive at Birmingham at 8 a.m. The Postmaster General is asking for tenders for these services, and the necessary forms and other particulars may be obtained from the G.P.0 headquarters.

Commercial-body Builders.

We have been favoured, by Messrs. Privett and Hampton, the old-established coach-builders of Erith, Kent, with particulars of a smart van body which they have supplied on one of the latest " Hallford " chassis of which Cannon and Gaze, Ltd., millers of Erith, has recently taken delivery. Messrs. Privett and Hampton, we understand, have several orders in hand for commercial vehicle bodies ; they have made special arrangements to deal with this class of work. The Accrington Council has passed a resolution to seek powers for controlling motor traffic through the town.

To Carry More Biscuits.

W. and R. Jacob and Co., Ltd., of Dublin, Liverpool and London, has for some time bad in service a one-ton Napier van, and this model is proving most desirable and useful for the renowned biscuit manufacturer's purposes.

This company, on the initiative of Mr, A. E. Jacob, Wadi one of the oldest supporters of commercial motoring, and made some very early purchases. It has a large fleet of heavier machines, which fleet is doing splendidly, and its latest purchase has been made to centre upon the company's London premises. For this newest purchase, Midland solid-rubber tires were specified for the back wheels, and Dunlop pneumatics for the front wheels.

A Big Batch of Deliveries of " Commers."

Commercial Cars, Ltd., reports a recent period of exceptional briskness in the finishing department. No fewer than 15 passenger vehicles were delivered during one week. They went to the following users, amongst others : Bath Electric Tramways, Ltd. (3); Maarayne, Ltd., Inverness (2); Glyncorrog Motor Co., Port Talbot; Sinamonds and Co., London ; Ilfracombe Motors, Ltd. ; Grace and Sutcliffe, Keighley ; F. H.

Beau rn 011 L Ltd., Hanley; Harrogate Road Car Co. ; Euggle and italph. Recent orders have been received for the same class of machines from London and NorthWestern Railway (5) ; United Automobile Services (2) ; Ashworth and Co. Manchester ; Whyte and Co., Alloa ; Chas. Rickards and Co., London ; Co-operative Wholesale Society and Bath Electric Tramways, Ltd. In addition to the above, during four recent weeks orders have been received for goods wagons from : Portsmouth United Brewery Co. ; Bailey and Tehbutt, Brewers, Cambridge ; Cobbold and Co., Brewers, Ipswich; Greenall, Whitley, Brewers, Warrington ; Bennett's Brewery, Dunstable ; Buckley's Brewery, Llanelly (2); Hammertons, Ltd., Hibbert and Co., Brewers, London and Southampton ; McIntyre, Greenock (2) ; R.
