Renault says fuel consumption has been cut by 5% and maintenance costs slashed by as much as 15%. It claims the 2.1m cab is the narrowest on the market, while the interior has had a much-needed update. That includes a dash-mounted gearshift and park brake, with more overall organisation in its layout. However, traditional qualities have remained intact.

It's still one of the best drives in the class and the payload remains competitive.
