Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Engine: 25-litre fidiesel,114hp/240Nm Transmission: 4x4,5spd manual GVWs:2 /0-2,950kg Cab: five-door

Not a lot of people know this, but Mitsubishi has the biggest range of 4x4 CVs in the UK.

As well as the L200 pickup range, the three-model Shogun 4Work line-up provides an offroad van suitable for everyone from the field service engineer to the MD.

The Shogun Sport, which could crudely be described as a pickup with an integral steel roof, begins at under £15,000, while Ws possible to spend another .:10,000 for a Shogun LWB.

Our experience has mostly been with the Sport, which is beginning to show its age, especially under the bonnet with an old IDI engine that needs servicing every 9,000 miles.

Fortunately, help is at hand as we expect a CV version of Mitsubishi's acclaimed new SUV, the Outlander, to become available in the spring. As a van, there's good rear access, although a Pt more thought on the bulkhead arrangements would be useful.

UKES AND DISLIKES.

✓ Versatility • Off-road performance X Elderly engine X Uninspiring interior
