Link rubber suspension has been placed by Transport Vehicles (Daimler) Ltd. for use on 330 rear-engined Roadliner single-decker passenger chassis.

Toggle-Link suspension, by which the axle is both located and sprung by four rubber-bushed links, is to be used on both the front and rear axles of this new version of Roadliner. The arrangement is generally similar to the rear suspension employed successfully by Midland Red over more than 200,000,000 miles of operations.

Operator interest in the suspension system, which is maintenance and wear-free and, it is claimed, gives excellent ride characteristics, has resulted in the Daimler decision.

Among the companies which have placed quantity orders for the rubber-sprung Roadliners are Potteries Motor Traction Co. Ltd. and the corporation transport departments of Chesterfield and Wolverhampton.
