THE first rear-engined, front-entrance bus to be taken into the Edinburgh City Transport fleet was delivered last week. It is a Leyland Atlantean with Alexander body and the first of 25 similar vehicles to be delivered during 1966. A further 100 have been ordered-50 for delivery in 1967 and 50 in 1968.
The 74-seat capacity of the new Atlantean is the highest of any bus previously ordered by Edinburgh.
