Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

The list of donations in cash, for the period embraced by the seven weekdays from the 23rd to the 80th ult., is published elsewhere in this issue. It shows the total amount which we had then received towards our £5000 to be almost the half-way mark. We are, therefore, now concerned with the completion of the sum which we know to be wanted in order that a reasonable supply of extra comforts may be sent out to France and Belgium for the 15,000 officers and men of the motor transport columns.

We haNle decided, in response to numerous requests and suggestions, to issue collecting cards on behalf of this Fund. Examples of this card should accompany each copy of this week's issue, but, in the event, of non-inclusion with any particular copy, we hope that the recipient, if he desires to help by filling one or more of these cards, or by issuing them to employees or other parties who may be glad to have the opportunity to do so, will immediately apply to us in writing for copies to he posted. We shall also be happy to issue any specified number of cards to depots, garages or works. It may be added that we are asking for these cards to be completed and returned to us by not later than the 22nd inst., and that we are offering to present, to each collector who.obtains £1 or more on a single card, a mounted copy of one of our best full-page war cartoons, by way of a sou-ventr.

In commending the claims of our Fund to anybody who can help, either with a Personal donation or by using a collecting .ard, we wish to point out that it is our desire to he able to purchase and despatch the great bulk of the comforts before the cold weather is over. £1 secured now is worth more than £5 given two months hence.
