Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

The latest motorcab company to commence operations on the streets of London is Urban Taxicabs, Limited, the registered office and garage of which are at 2o, Avontnore Road, West Kensington, W. The fleet at present consists of only ten vehicles, but it is hoped that the number will be greatly increased at an early date. If the type of machine selected for operation by the company stands for anything, the concern should have a very successful future : the cabs are of the excellent Austin make, upon which we have frequently made favourable comment. As first designed by Mr. Austin, the ush.p. cab was so arranged that the driver was seated directly over the centre of the engine, as was described and illustrated in " THE COMMERCIAL. MOTOR " of the 26th March last. In the latest models, for Metropolitan work, however, the outward appearance is more conventional, although the general arrangement and design of the engine and transmission gearing is the same as before. The body-work is of exceptionally neat design, and the seating accommodation—for four persons —is very comfortable. A feature in the body design is a neat sliding sheet-metal panel, which is fitted into the upper part of the off-side front window, near to the driver's head ; the device is simple, but affords an effective means of communicating with the driver, and this will be much appreciated by passengers who have previously attempted to give inStruction6 to a taxicab driver through the usual " speaking tube," or by lean-. ing, at great personal risk, over one of the side doors. The coach-work has been constructed by Automobile Carriage Builders, Limited, and it is finished in green with white lines.

We reproduce three photographs of some of the vehicles at the garage, which, by the way, is excellently situated, whilst there is ample room for extension as the need for increased space is felt. Mr. Trevor Young is the managing director of the company, whilst the garage is under the management of Mr. E. R. Shortie. The first cab was put into service on Saturday last.
