• Norbert Dentressangle is lining up a series of joint ventures in Eastern Europe which are designed to boost its groupage services. Having taken over 25% of the shares of Hungarian transport firm Detasped, ND has reached agreement with a Polish firm and is talking to a company in the Czech Republic. Demand is growing for groupage services, which currently account for about 8% of group sales, says ND UK managing director Ray McCord, who expects that figure to grow.
Group saw turnover rose 14% to 2234,4m (Ff 2,368m) for the first nine months of the year.
ND is also opening an office in Glasgow.
