Mr. Charles Baroth, transport manager at Salford, Lanes, since 1946, is to retire. Mr. Baroth joined W. T. Underwood Ltd., the precedessor of East Midland Motor Services Ltd. in 1920 as foreman at the CloWne, Derbyshire, depot and in 1925 he was promoted to manager at Boston. He moved to Taunton in 1927 as local superintendent with the National Omnibus and Transport Co. Ltd. After a year there he joined Midland Red as Birmingham divisional superintendent.
