Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

A REAR end which is removable complete with aeration 1--V unit is the latest development in powder pressure tanks made by Carmichael and Sons (Worcester) Ltd. As well as enabling the aeration medium to be rapidly and efficiently serviced, the new design permits the rear-end unit to be removed and replaced with an alternative type of closure, for liquids or for granules discharged by gravity.

The accompanying photograph shows the removable portion held on by bolts, but the fitment may be hinged if required. At the base of the removable section are two ports which give direct access to the aeration pads so that, in the event of blowback, rapid servicing can be given.

A single pipeline serves the discharge air and the agitator air for the equipment.

Vehicles with the new unit are now in service and have proved capable of full discharge with materials which, in the past, have sometimes proved difficult to clear completely.
