SPEAKING on road expenditure, the president of the Federation of British Industries, Sir Harry Pilkington, said at Cardiff, on Monday, that the subject gave rise to a particular difficulty. Whilst the F.B.I. were urging the need for a reduction in overall Government spending, they were simultaneously advocating an increase in road grants.
