Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Iwrite to appeal for help with a television programme I am researching for Channel Four. We intend to raise the issue of safety in the haulage business and we need examples to illustrate the arguments.

The programme will put fonvard arguments for a safer haulage trade, improved drivers' welfare and a better rate for the job.

Issues we will include are poor maintenance leading to defective vehicles; pressure to overwork leading to tiredness; pressure to break speed and tachograph regulations; and problems caused by "cowboy operators" undercutting decent firms.

If any readers have information with examples of this type of malpractice, I would be grateful if you would write to me.

In particular, we are looking for drivers who have been involved in accidents caused by pressure to overwork resulting in fatality or serious injury, poor maintenance or overloading.

I guarantee that any such driver will be treated sympathetically.
