Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• York Transport Engineerng has joined forces with Humberside-based caravan transporter RCT to develop a lightweight, fully-air-braked drawbar trailer intended specifically for hauling large caravans and mobile homes.

The six-tonne gross weight tandem-axle drawbar trailer, running with a Volvo FL6 prime mover, can carry two 9.5m-long caravans with a permitted 2.97m rear overhang.

According to York a saving of 30% in turnaround times has been achieved by the convex shaping of the rear of the truck body which matches the concave-shaped trailer front and provides a gap between both of just 89mrn_ This allows loading and unloading of caravans between the prime mover and the trailer without having to uncouple.

The close-coupled rig has an underslung rigid A Frame with a VBG 620 towing jaw.

RCT managing director Peter Richardson says that the new vehicle has enabled it to make more deliveries than with previous vehicles.
