Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Continent-bound truck drivers are facing delays of up to eight hours at Felixstowe Dock, which is struggling to cope with hundreds more users than it was originally designed and built to handle.

The Road Haulage Association is to meet the port's chiefs next Friday to seek an end to the problem, and wants to speak to all hauliers who have been victims of delays.

Felixstowe has been slow to conduct its own surveys into the hold-ups, says RHA Eastern Area district manager Chris Wright.

There are problems on both sides, says Wright, with hauliers facing delays and loss of earnings and dock chiefs under pressure to move more cargo, faster and more efficiently. He believes a "spirit of mutual cooperation" could identify problems and find solutions for them.
