IANE FRUEHAUF is to close its dham factory and is to cornle the manufacture of the divim's products into other group :ations. In addition to a major clundancy programme last ly, both the Oldham and irth Walsham divisions of the mpany have been operating tensive short time working • the last 15 months.
The company has not said w many jobs will be lost or w many men, if any, will be insferred from Oldham to rth Walsham. The company nounced the decision to its Iployees last Monday and ;cussions with trades union presentatives are already unrway. About 325 workers will affected by the Oldham clore.
