I SHOULD LIKE to hear from anyone who can tell me if it is genuinely possible for a Class I driver under 25 years of age, or even 30, as some companies have quoted me, to get a Class I driving job without previous Class I experience.

I am 23 years of age and have passed my hgv Class! with the RTITB which incidentally, cost me over £550. I have tried all over the North of England to gel a driver's, or even driver's mate's job, without success, am seem to come across the age group problem nearly every time.

Where, or how I ask myself, can today's newly qualified young Class I drivers gain the necessary experience to becomi the competent hgv drivers of tomorrow if they cannot enter the industry until they are 25 or 30?
