Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

WE WOULD LIKE to record via your publication the results we have obtained from our Transit 190 pickup, HHA903V, first registered in August 1979: 2000 sohc engine, Michelin tyres.

Mileage at time of writing is 140,000; the engine, gearbox, clutch, axle, tyres and steering. components are still the originals. The only replacements to date are starter motor solenoid, battery, carburettor, camshaft, ignition system.

The vehicle is operated on gas and petrol. Work is obviously long distance, and often on double shift with different drivers.

Who needs your expensive Continentals and Japanese equivalents when our own British-made Transit can produce such fantastic results?

Our maintenance cost per mile brings a smile to one's face. R. W. AIKEN Willenhall West Midlands
