Obituaries

We record with regret the deaths of John Robert Noon and John Preen.

Mr Noon, 48, of Cosnall, Notts, was a well-known haulier and farmer in the East Midlands.

Mr Preen, of Ravensthorpe, Northants, joined Rootes Motors in 1961 as chief fleet sales executive, and in 1968 became fleet and leasing director, a position he held until his retirement a year ago. He was a Freeman of the City of London and also held the OBE.
