Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Dublin ferry service

FROM April 1 B+I Line is operating a new roll-on/rolloff ferry between Fleetwood and Dublin with six sailings a week. The service does not replace B+I's Liverpool service, on which unit load traffic has been reaching record levels.

Mr Frank Scully, the company's assistant general manager, said last week in London that B+I would be offering 54 sailings a week between Britain and Ireland by the summer.

The Dublin terminal has just been extended, to cope not only with the new service but also a specialized doorto-door trailer service to be operated by a new division within the company.

Although B + I is competing with P & 0 for traffic on the FleetwoodDublin route, the two groups are sharing terminals and ship tonnage.

Mr Scully forecast that within the foreseeable future 60 per cent of containerized traffic on the Irish sea would be carried by lift-on/lift-off and the remaining 40 per cent by ro/ro.
