Department of Trade and Industry has published regulations for the implementation of the Working Time Directive and parts of the Young Workers' Directive into UK law.
The regulations will come into force on 1 October. Working Time Regulations (SI 1998 No 1833) is available, price £4.15. from the Stationery Office.
Grey imports ruling The European Court of Justice has ruled that selling goods imported from outside the European Economic Area without the trademark holder's consent contravenes EU law. The sale of such "grey imports" is not permitted by EU Directive 89/104 on trademarks.
