Each axle can be tested independently up to a maximum of 10 tons. Where there is no conventional axle, the chains can be fitted to a side member.

Hydraulic pressure is applied to simulate the load from a pump unit and the force applied read off on the gauge attached to this unit. The brake tester is then used as normal.

It costs £795 plus £60 installation charge.
