UNIFAST International completed the first phase of its depot network with a new London depot complete with Customs and Excise on site.

The new depot is at Ratcliffe Cross Wharf, London El, and it is hoped that the import services will offer a station presentation entry service with clearance at two to three hours — and the facilities will be available to other forwarding agents.

Unifast marketing and developing manager Mr Peter Bower commented that the company would also be opening new depots in Leeds and Leicester before the end of the year and in Southampton and Dover early next year.

The company's services also run from Birmingham, Manchester, Glasgow and Harwich and they are supported by 15 port offices of sister company General Freight.

Regular runs are made from the depots to Basle, Milan, Brussels, Paris, Amsterdam and Dublin. They have also started journeys to the Middle East, Africa, Australia and South America.
