II Suffolk police are appealing for witnesses after a truck containing a load of dangerous agricultural herbicides was stolen from an industrial estate in Suffolk.

The white Oaf 45 7.5-tonner was taken during the night of 25/26 September from the Lion Yard Industrial Estate in Needham Market, It contained a consignment Of herbicide in 10litre containers marked 'Crystal Ice Trouper'.

PC lain McKinnon from the National Stolen Lorry Load Desk says: 'This was an unusual theft and it seems likely that the thief was after the truck -.ether than

the load. It has still not been recovered. This substance could be harmful if swallowed and would be dangerous to fish and aquatic life if it was released into a waterway."

The truck, registration P201 MAV, has "Key and Pell" on the cab and a cracked windscreen. Anyone who finds any of the containers, which are marked with an orange square with a blue cross, should not touch them, but should contact the police immediately.
