AN HYDRAULIC twin disc brake, introduced by an Italian manufacturer Valeo, is suited to commercial vehicle and bus application with axle weights of up to 13 tonnes.
Said to take up a similar amount of space as the conventional drum brake, the disc brake claims advantage in servicing, reliability, performance and life.
Its fixed caliper design requires the minimum number of movable parts, while hydraulic controls give a balanced self-adjusting operation.
