Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

WHAT is claimed to be a fully automatic method of checking trailer brakes and lights has been announced by CDI Ltd, The Forge, Ladbroke, near Leamington, Warwickshire.

The unit provides continuous cycling of brakes on and off using either the service or auxiliary lines. In this way one man can carry out a complete brake check. In addition the system can also be used to close off the braking system under full pressure to check for leaks and in the same way the emergency line can also be tested. If a fault is found a manual override halts the cycle on any one position while the circuit is checked. The unit, called Trailacheck, is available with integral compressed supply and with a battery condition meter. The units can also be used as battery chargers and tyre inflators.

Lighting circuits are tested by means of a fully automatic switching system. Input from a 12-volt battery is switched through each lighting circuit on a fixed time cycle.

TraiIacheck prices start at £135.
