Mad. T. V. H. BEAMISH, M.C., M.P., has been appointed a director of the East Kent Road Car Co., Ltd Ma. DENNIS E. etwactuu. has joined the Davies Tyre Co., Ltd., and will manage a depot shortly to be opened at Tun bridge Wells.
MR. F. C. TREACEIER has resigned from the hoard of Keith and Boyle (Ldn.), Ltd. He has been with the company for over 16 years.
MR. D. N. FERGUSON has been appointed sales and service representative in Scotland and Northern Ireland of Jowett Cars, Ltd. For the past six years, he has been technical sales representative of Hepworth and Grandage, Ltd.. in East Scotland.
MR. E. D. BROOM has been appointed Birmingham branch manager of Shams Motor Units, Ltd. He was previously Southampton branch manager, a position now assumed by MR. C. C. DUNCOMBE, who has relinquished the Plymouth branch managership. This post is now taken by MR. R. E. MARTINSON.
MR. J. F. LEACH and MR. P. B. HEASMAN have been appointed sales and service supervisors of the Weaver Manufacturing and Engineering Co., Ltd., for the northern and southern areas respectively. MR. S. D. JAMES has become general service supervisor. MR. W. J. BrAcKpactc has been appointed servic,e engineer for the Eastern Counties. MR. Tom TI-TORNYCROFT has resigned his directorship of Silentbloc, Ltd.
MAJ. JACKSON MILLAR, chairman of Albion Motors, Ltd., has resigned from the Development Areas Treasury Advisory Committee because of pressure of other business.
MR. A. T. LENNOX-BOYD, M.P., Minister of Transport, is expected to be the principal guest at the banquet, on October 16, which will conclude the Road Haulage Association's conference at Blackpool.
OBITUARY
WE regret to record the death of MR. R. McK. WALKER, MR. J V. BROWN and Ma. H. F. MAYNARD.
Mr. Walker was for many years transport manager in Liverpool of United Molasses, Ltd. He was an active member of the Traders' Road Transport Association and previously of the Commercial Motor Users' Association. Mr. Brown was the service manager of the Maudslay Motor Co., Ltd., with which he had been engaged for five years.
Mr. Maynard, who was 83, was governing director of " Passenger Transport."
