Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

By Chris Tindall THE BOSS of a St Helens secondhand truck dealership, which has seen 17 of its HGVs damaged by suspicious fres, says security is being ramped up to prevent further incidents.

Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service says a ire broke out at Kris Motor Spares and initially affected one lorry, but it quickly spread to eight others, seriously damaging them all.

A further nine were slightly damaged by radiated heat on the evening of 19 October. Fire crews battled to put out the fres for several hours until after midnight.

Kris Motor Spares director Chuhermal Krishnani denies local press reports claiming it was the work of thieves attempting to steal vehicle batteries.

“If they wanted batteries, why would they do this? It’s stupid,” he says. “They set lorries alight in three places.” He adds: “It’s happened and we are trying to make it more secure, get more CCTV installed and have warnings. We have to move on and we will see how it goes. But there needs to be more pressure on the police, they should look at this properly.” Merseyside Police did not respond.
