Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

ON the Fiat stand this year there are many new Models to be seen in addition to the well-known products of this famous Italian concern. I One of the most interesting is a 24-seater, single-deck omnibus, mounted on a 603.S chassis, this being a new model with a six-cylinder engine of 75 mm. bore and 130 ram. stroke. The remainder of the specification include a disc clutch, four-forward-speed gearbox constructed as a unit, a' new and attractive type of radiator, and an overhead worm, fully floating rear axle.

This chassis has a 15-ft. 3-in. wheelbase, and affords a body space of 17 ft.

ins.; pneumatic tyres are employed, twinned at the rear, and Fiat electric lighting and starting systems are fitted. The bodywork is attraftively finished in dark red and cream with black waistline, and the ample headroom provided

is a notable feature.

The bus is of the pay-as-you-enter type, a double-folding front entrance door being controlled by a lever immediately placed to the left of the driver. A point of interest here is the automatic recessed electric lamp which illuminates the step as the door is opened. There is an emergency door at the rear which can readily be opened either from within or without, and the passengers are accommodated on transverse seats, upholstered in leather, access to which is obtained from a central gang

way ; drop windows with patented controls are fitted.

Another interesting passenger vehicle exhibited is the model 603 WI-weather coach, this being mounted on a new 40cwt. chassis with a four-cylinder engine, and a specification corresponding closely to that already described. Fifteen passengers in addition to the driver can be accoinmodated, and the all-weather equipment is excellent. Of. the freight-carrying 'Vehicles exhibited, particular, interest attaches to boivan and a drop-sided lorry, each of 25-cwt. capacity, and each mounted on .a new chassis known as the 505.1? type. This has a four-cylinder engine of 75 mm. bore and 130 mm. stroke, a four-forward-npeed gearbox and a beveldriven rear axle; this axle is built up of pressings forming a quit with the torque tube, a method of construction resulting in great .strength. The box. van weighs 45 cwt. including the body, and is fitted with a windscreen and two rear doors.

The exhibit is completed by three examples of .the well-known Fiat 502.1? model, these being a stripped chassis, a 35-cwt. Windsor boxyan, and a 15cwt. Regent boxvan. The chassis is so well known that but little comment is required, the engine being of the foure.vlinder type, with a bore and stroke of 65 rem. and 110 mm. respectively, ,built in unit with which there is a four-forward-speed gearbox ;. the rear axle is worm driven. The two vans are each steel-panelled and fitted with two doors _ at the . rear, running boards, domed wings, and two-panel windscreens; they are mounted on pneumatic tyres, and differ mainly as regards general finish and appearance, one being practically flat-sided, whilst on the other the sides swell outwards in a curve.
