Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

THE wonderful collection of commercial motor -Ivehicles, tractors, municipal appliances and examples of bodywork at Olympia constitutes a display which cannot be rivalled anywhere else in the world, and it affords a most valuable opportunity for all interested in their sale or use to study the great progress which has been made in every direction during the past two years ; progress which has already been outlined and summarized in previous issues of this journal. Almost all British, Canadian and the chief foreign makers are represented.

Many of the outstanding features of the new passenger and goods vehicles have for long been advocated by The Contmercial Motor—some, fact, immediately after the war—and outstanding examples are the low-frame-level vehicle and the rigid six-wheeler, and a fine bus embodying both these principles forms one of the most striking exhibits.

Whether these new tendencies in design are consequent upon our pioneer, efforts, are natural developments, have resulted from the demands of users for something better, or are the product of a combination of all three causes-4s difficult to say, definitely, but the fact that we recognized the' needs of the future so long beforehand proves that the policy of this journal in advocating improvements, often much against prevailing opinion, is correct.

Improvement has not been restricted to design, although new types of vehicle of great merit have been evolved. There are many innovations in coachwork, and the majority of the vehicles exhibited are worthy of the highest praize.

All visitors with whom we have chatted have expressed their conviction that this 1925 Show is not only the best which has taken place, but marks a new and successful era in the advancement of the commercial vehicle and the recognition of its manifold advantages by the business man and the travelling public.

Whether the business, actually done during the period of the Show be very successful or only moderately so, the after-effects will, in our opinion, be most beneficial, for it is only, on such an occasion as this, where the various types and makes of vehicle are gathered under one roof, that' effective comparison can be made, not only between one vehicle and another, but in respect of the improvements between the new models and their prototypes.

We. strongly advise every transport manager in the kingdom and all representatives of transport interests overseas to make a special point of visiting Olympia, even if they be not at the moment in a position to give orders.
