THE number of freight vehicles passing through the port of Dover during the first three months of this year decreased by about 4 per cent according to the Dover Harbour Board. Only 125,768 vehicles passed through the port during the period.
The tonnage of cargo carried was up by around 12 per cent compared with the similar period in 1979 at 1.74m tonnes.
