TO meet the growing demand for multiple garages the British Cast Concrete Federation commissioned the design of a standard type which could be made by its members. The Cement and Concrete Association has now published an illustrated description. The booklet gives full details of the G.B. garage as the design has been called and a smaller descriptive leaflet with a list of manufacturers producing concrete multiple garages is also available. Copies of the publications can be obtained from the Cement and Concrete Association, 52 Grosvenor Gardens, London, S.W.1.

Battery-electric Transportet

PAA THREE-WHEELED battery-electric vehicle the Wagonmaster—has been added to the range of &caries made by Eccles Engineering Ltd., Brook Street, Redditch, Worcestershire. It has a flat load-carrying area which extends from behind the driving position to the rear of the vehicle and also at the side of the driving position to the front. Load capacity is 2,250 lb. The load area beside the driver is 1 ft.‘13 in. wide, whilst the full width at the rear is 3 ft. 4 in. Five standard lengths of platform behind the driver are available; these range from 4 ft. to 8 ft. Overall lengths range from 8 ft. to 12ft., platform height in all cases being 2 ft. 1 in. Drive is by means of a heavy-duty 24V traction motor through the rear axle. The Wagon master is supplied complete with head, side, rear and brake stop lights, battery capacity gauge, overhead fuse, towing jaw and horn. Extra equipment available includes a single-seater cab and hinged sides and ends.

Prices of the Wagonmaster start at £425 for the 8-ft.-long model, increasing to £445 for the 12-ft.-long model. This does not include batteries or chargers, a range of which are available.
