“It’s a magniicent achievement that in just under ive weeks we have collected 120,000 signatures,” says campaign leader Peter Carroll, “but it is not the end. We are going to continue lobbying the government over the high price of fuel and we will be back to deliver more signatures to the Prime Minister. So please keep promoting FairFuelUK to friends, family, colleagues, etc. Every signature counts.” The FairFuelUK team also held a brieing for politicians at the House of Commons yesterday lunchtime to highlight the campaign issues. The Road Haulage Association and the Freight Transport Association both gave short presentations, along with motoring journalist Quentin Willson.

Meanwhile, the email campaign to encourage people to contact their local MP is gaining momentum with 80 MPs to date adding their name to the FairFuelUK petition.
