Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

I READ with interest the investigation on ‘Prime time crime’ (CM 17 February).

However, I would like to point out some facts regarding the Iveco Eurocargo product range.

First, since 2007 Iveco has itted, as standard, anti-theft laser mar keting technology to its entire CV and bus range.

Prior to delivery, Iveco will security mark windows and major components itted as original equipment, and register the vehicle and owner details on the International Security Register.

We believe that this was a signiicant step to improving vehicle security and tracing of stolen vehicles. I am also somewhat puzzled as to why in TruckPol’s statistics DAF and Leyland DAF are not classed as one manufacturer.

If that was the case, in 2010 there would have been a total of 460 DAF/Leyland DAF vehicle thefts and 413 Iveco vehicle thefts.
