Total monthly van sales rose 6.1% in January to 21,970 units.ln the rolling year-todate sales hit 330, 856, up 8.9% over January 2004.The medium and heavy van sectors (1.8-3.5-tonnes GVW) continue to drive overall CV registrations. They rose 8.7% to 15,366; an increase of 1,232 over January 2004. Light van registrations (up to 1.8 tonnes GVW) rose by 2.2% -the SMMT is predicting stable demand for the coming year.
