MATTHEW KIBBLE Transport is joining pallet network Pallet-Track, ending a five-year partnership with network Fortec.

Nelson, Lancashire-based Matthew Kibble, a former Motor Transport Haulier of the Year, will cover the Preston and Blackpool areas for Pallet-Track from 12 July.

With Fortec the firm was covering a wider area, but MD Matthew Kibble says the proximity of Pallet-Track's hub in Wolverhampton will help cut vehicle miles compared to trunking to Fortec's Watford Gap, Northants

Kibble tells CM "I felt it was time for a change and Pallet-Track will give us more flexibility owing to its location. I think the network has a particularly good reputation."

A Fortec spokesman says the firm is in the process of recruiting a replacement for Matthew Kibble.

• Meanwhile, UK Pallets has seen the following members join the network since January: Corwen, Denbighshire-based Williams Haulage; Croydon-based Kent Couriers; and Portsmouth-based Condor Logistics.

It is each firm's first time as a pallet network member.
