Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

TWO FORMER subcontractors of collapsed Wilmslow, Cheshire firm DIM Transport say they have been left angry by non-payment of bills dating back to the beginning of the year.

DJM Transport had been working for road salt manufacturer Icethaw moving palletised product during January's big freeze.

However, two subcontractors on the work have been left out of pocket, despite the bumper period

for DJM Transport, And with the company and its sister firm DJM Logistics (UK) now in administration, it's unlikely the subbies will see any return for their hard work.

Barry Proctor, MD of Stoke firm Barry Proctor Services, is owed around £8,500 by DJM Transport for the work. His firm did receive a cheque dated 14 April for £4,500, but that bounced, he adds.

Proctor says: ''this leaves a nasty taste in the mouth, at a time when they were at their busiest." Burtonon -Trent operator AS Taylor Trans port was also left owed £2,000 for the salt work. MD Alan Taylor says: "I'm just as strapped for cash as anyone else in this game. I've got the job done. the POD has been sent and I want my money, but that's not going to happen."

David Riley and Les Ross from Grant Thornton were appointed as administrators of DJM Transport and DJM Logistics (UK) on 17 May.
