Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

m Tracker, best known for its stolen vehicle tracking system, has launched a fleet management monitoring system.

Unlike the original Tracker, which uses land-based radio comms, the Communicator system combines GPS satellite and GSM mobile phone technologies. The main advantage over the competition, says product development manager Peter Crinson, is that there are several data collection options.

Users can ring a central 24hour Tracker bureau for an update on a vehicle's position; have a dedicated mapping terminal in their office; access the information via a website; or use an automated dial-in service called Talk.

Installation costs £699 per vehicle; rental is from £42 a month, including the GSM monthly standing charge. Calls cost 10p per position required from the vehicle.

Location information is automatically gathered at intervals, but vehicles can also be checked on demand.
