BIG reductions in the cost of Green Line
off-peak travel into central London were announced by London Transport last week Cheap day return tickets, named "Greenliners", will be available on Mondays to Fridays on all Green Line routes except 722, 725 and 726 for off-peak journeys to town of over 10 miles.
The new tickets will start from Monday. June 6 and be available on coaches after 09.30. The return trip can be made any time the same day except on departures between 16.30 to 18.30. Half price Greenliners will be available for children under 14. Savings of up to 30 per cent on longer journeys will be made.
Experiments with cheap off-peak returns on sections of seven Green Line routes north of London were carried out during the past year.
