J. A. Murly has joined Eurofreight Ltd. as general manager and has been appointed a member of the board from June 1. The company is one of the Atlas Express group. Since December last year Mr. Murly has been managing director of Wright and Co. (Kings Cross) Ltd., a TDG company. which he joined after serving from 1958 as managing director, and later chairman, of another TDG concern, Continental Ferry Trailers (I. Leftley Ltd.). He was chairman of the RHA international group from 1958 until this year.
J. Terrill has been appointed transport and distribution manager, Donald Macpherson and Co. Ltd., Bury, Lancs. Aged 30, he was previously an assistant depot manager with Western Transport Ltd.
R. A. Rigby has been appointed branch manager at the British Road Services Warrington general haulage branch, and R. Crossley becomes branch manager at the Runcorn general haulage branch.
A. K. Thomas, of Desford, Leics, general manager since 1964 of J. J. Edwards (Hinckley) Ltd., hauliers and furniture removers, has been appointed executive director of the company, which he joined four years ago as manager.
N. J. Kevan has been appointed traffic manager of BRS Parcels Ltd. Mr. Kevan was traffic superintendent, City branch, of BRS between 1951 and 1956 and then until 1958 was assistant to the operations manager, BRS. He became planning officer in 1958 and operations officer in April 1959, the position he now vacates.
