Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

THE ORGANISER of last month's M62 fuel protest and at least eight other drivers involved in the demo are facing prosecution for an unspecified offence.

Sweeting of Leeds owner Rob Sweeting has received a notice of prosecution following the protest on 18 June, and he says he is aware of eight other vehicles that have received similar notices. The notice asks for confirmation of the driver involved, but does not specify the offence.

The notice gives five options: • Dangerous driving • Driving without due care and attention or without reasonable consideration for other users • Exceeding the speed limit • Leaving the vehicle in a dangerous position • Failure to give due consideration to traffic signs and signals Sweeting says he has asked the police what the offence is, but they will not tell him until he has returned the form naming the driver. He has contacted his solicitor.

West Yorkshire Police say: "Five people involved in the protest were prosecuted on the day for various offences relating to breaking the law on the motorway.

"As a result of the evidence obtained, West Yorkshire Police are considering prosecuting another 15 drivers."
