in decimal and sterling

A major development in the publication of the annual Commercial Motor Tables of Operating Costs is to be found in the 1970 edition, which will be published this month. For the first time, the Tables will show vehicle operating costs in decimal currency as well as in the familiar sterling form. Many operators, in coping with the change to decimal currency next February, will need to deal in both currencies for quite a long period. In next week's CM an explanation of the scope of the new Tables will be accompanied by actual examples.

Another important feature of the July 10 Commercial Motor will be a guide to road transport education. CM has compiled a unique feature covering the whole of Britain and giving guidance on the qualifications for which this education is provided.
