Small and compact it may be, but brie iittle Citroen has plenty of positives Including the company's usual entertaining chassis and commendably punchy diesel engine.
The rear provides only limited storage space at 0.84m2, partly as a result of the curved rear pillars. However access is strong due to a split-tall hatch, with the lower part making a useful shelf when dropped.
With several new entrants already on the market or on their way, the Berlingo/ Partner is starting to look a little long in the tooth It goes well, thanks to a refined 2.0-litre engine that delivers its power in an even and progres sive manner, while the chassis offers a composed ride.
However with the advent of heavier, more solid competition it now feels a touch lightweight in construction -particularly when on the motorway -and a full payload can make it feel a little over-burdened.
