published a report of a public inquiry involving Ken Petty Haulage appearing before North Eastern Area Traffic Commissioner Tom McCartney, headed "Operator awaits discipline".
The PI followed K Petty & Co's appearance before Wetherby magistrates in June when it pleaded guilty to N drivers' hours offences.
In the report we stated: Maersk... insisted Pettys had o do weekend work". We now ccept this statement was correct and that at the public quiry Mr Petty submitted evi nce that the decision to work
ekends was his own and that
had not been put under any ssure by Maersk.
We regret that our original ort was incorrect and eading.
