• John Rayner, chairman of the Road Haulage Association's tipper group, is diversifying into land and office rental, following the collapse of his tipping business last September.
About 80% of his Madingley, Cambs, site is being rented to five small haulage companies, and Rayner says he is keen to rent out more of the depot, on the A45 near the Mll and A604.
Rayner is also taking on some tipping work with the two tippers remaining from his fleet of about 20.
