However, former T&G member Miles Hunt, lead singer of The Wonder Stuff, has
done just that. His dad, Jim Hunt, remains the union's Midlands regional secretary (and is himself a keen jazz drummer).
Miles (left) recently visited the factory where his hit single was produced and met, among others, branch secretary, one Grace Jones (centre), and chairwoman, Maggie May.
