ACHAIRMAN and six vice-chairmen have been appointed for 1964 by the Road Operators' Safety Council. The new chairman is Mr. W. M. Hall, general manager of Liverpool Corporation passneer transport department, who represents the Municipal Passenger Transport Association. He succeeds Mr. Maurice Holmes, who has been chairman for the three years, 1961-63. The vice-chairmen are Mr. F. Broomfield, Mr. S. Henderson, Mr. R. MacKenzie, Mr. T. Robert Williams, Mr. F.. C. Ottaway and Mr. M. A. Holmes. New vice-chairmen among these are Mr. Williams (representing the Conference of Omnibus Companies), who succeeds Mr. Raymond Birch; Mr. Ott.iway (representing the London Transport Board), who succeeds Mr. Brian .Harbour, and Mr. M. A. Holmes (also representing the Conference of Omnibus Companies). si r. Birch, who had to resign from the Council because of increasing pressure of business, has been a vice-chairman from the inception of the Council in 1955, and throughout that period he also served as chairman of the Councils publicity committee.
!An Harbour has also served as a vicechairman since 1956, and irk the four-year period. 1957-60, he was chairman of the Council.
